Every Sunday we have two or three services. All are open to everyone to attend, but they each have a distinctive shape and nature.
1ST, 3RD AND 5TH SUNDAYS OF THE MONTH
8.30AM HOLY COMMUNION
A simple service of Holy Communion in modern language that lasts around 45-50 minutes with no music or singing.
A relaxed service which attracts the largest congregation, the 10.15am has a varying pattern across a month. The first Sunday is our 'Worship as One' service in which everyone, whatever their age, worships and learns together. On second and fourth Sundays we share Holy Communion. On other Sundays we gather to hear the Bible read and explained in a 'Service of the Word'. We sing a mixture of hymns and more recent songs and services last about an hour.
Again, a varied pattern of different styles of worship in the evening. On the first Sunday a service using the traditional Book of Common Prayer, the following week a simple service of Compline, or Night Prayer, with space for silence and reflection. We miss out a week so that Messy Church can happen and on the fourth Sunday we share Holy Communion together. Services generally last about an hour, Compline often a little bit less.
HOLY COMMUNION ON WEDNESDAY AT 10.45AM
Similar to the 8.30am service on Sundays, a simple service which lasts around 45 minutes.
3RD SUNDAY OF THE MONTH, 4-6PM
Messy Church is all about fun, food and following Jesus!
With a mixture of crafts and activities, people of all ages join together in exploring faith in Jesus, celebrating his love and enjoying a meal together.
