SERVICES
At the beginning of September 2021 we started a new pattern of services. The Covid lockdown forced rapid change on us, but it also gave us an opportunity to reflect on what we were doing and a chance to change.
Everyone is welcome to try out one of these services - there is always an opportunity to re-start, to try something new, to explore the chance to get to know Jesus.
Every Sunday
10AM SERVICES
A relaxed service with a straightforward structure, which will alternate between Holy Communion and a service which will focus on gathering to pray, praise and hear the Bible read and explained. We sing a mixture of hymns and more recent songs and services will last about an hour.
1st Sunday of the month
8.30AM HOLY COMMUNION
A simple service of Holy Communion in modern language that lasts around 45 minutes with no music or singing.
2nd Sunday
6PM SERVICES
It's difficult to predict what you'll find at 6pm. For one thing, during winter months (while the clock is on GMT) it will be at 4.30pm! But the style will change from month to month - through the summer of 2023 it will be a simple service of Compline, or Night Prayer, with space for silence and reflection one month, a prolonged time of singing praise and worship the next, and Holy Communion the third.
Every Wednesday
HOLY COMMUNION ON WEDNESDAY AT 10.30AM
Similar to the 8.30am service on Sundays, a simple service which lasts around 45 minutes.
4th Sunday
4PM CRUMPET CHURCH
On the 4th Sunday of every month a relaxed service for all ages in the Church Centre at 4pm. With crumpets and other pastries served, some active and craft elements, singing and the chance to explore and deepen faith with teaching from the Bible.
